Loyaldachs Miniature Longhaired Dachshunds got started in 2000.
We are Blair and Katja Frye, married for 20 years + and childless so to speak. Our goal is to produce sound Miniature longhaired Dachshund that can successfully compete in the conformation ring. Breeding and showing Dachshunds is a Hobby of ours and first off, our Dachshunds are our pets and that is why we do not have an outside Kennel our breedings are carefully planned and limited. Through the years, we have learned a lot with more to be learned and we consider ourselves lucky to have been able to be surounded by longtime knowlegeable breeders that we consider our mentors and friends. Below are just some of the Breeders that have mentored us along the way and we consider our friends and to this day we seek out for guidance and information. Joan Hiller of Rellih's Dachshunds Pat Ridgard of Midernochs Dachshunds Linda Beamer of Old Hanover Dachshunds Patty Brooks of Brodachs Dachshunds Our Thanks go to all of them for showing us the ropes in and outside the show ring.
Now having gotten a much better handle on understanding and applying the Breed Standard of Conformation to our Dachshund and furthermore, to be able to apply it to a breeding program, we are of to concentrating on what made us wanting to start up in the breed. To protect, appreciate, love and produce healthy well tempered Dachshund the responsible and ethical way. Not just for ourselves but also to share with people who want to be owned by a Dachshund. We have some of the top producing Bloodlines behind our Dachshunds, just to name a few such as Miklyns, Dachsheiders, Midernochs, Brodachs, Foxfyre, Saytar's, Joyal, Parkers, Sleepytime, Glenevan, GrandGables, Ralines, Tanska, Devoncream, Dachendell's and more. We very much believe that a sound Dachshund can be breeder/ owner handled to it's Championship without a Profesional Handler. The proof is in our Champions. We take much pride and joy in showing our own. Pet puppies we place on limited AKC papers and spay/neuter agreement with a sales contract and with a 5- year gurantee against genetic disorders. We do not give our own shoots therefore our pups go to our veterinarian for all of their immunization and each time they go they get an all over check up. We start our pups out on Royal Canine from about 4 weeks to about 10 than we switch over to Iams/Eukanuba. Pups are handle from day one, at the age of 8 weeks they get their first puppy shots and that is when they hit the ground and get intergrated with the rest of the Loyaldachs family. Because we are primarly a show home we hold on to the pups longer so we can fully evaluate them in most cases by the age of 12 weeks we usually have them sorted out. In average we have about 2-3 litters a year. So if you like what you see in our Dachshund and would like to be considered for one of ours please feel free to contact us. We Thank You for your interest in our Dachshunds ! |
