Welcome to our English Cream Family. We have decided to weave into our pedigree's the english cream Dachshunds. As some would like to claim the color to be rare and making them sound special, well we woud like to correct the record. Anymore english creams are as easy to aquirer than any of the other colors the Dachshund come in. The diefferents so is, quality breeding from quality proven lines that will produce quality puppies. Our foundation for the english creams are Champions and Champion offspring. We believe  in our breeding program, color is secondary to conformation and health.   So we have realized that the creams are not going to go away and believe it is very important to help improve the overall health and conformation in the English Creams.
Some of the more serious genetic issues within the world of creams to be on the look out for, are Luxating Patellas ( Bad Knees), missing testicles or testicles not decending (making for a more costly neuter procedure). When it comes to conformation well there is a lot of work to be done because wanna be breeders that are more concerned about breeding the color and making money, are breeding dachshund that are a far stretch from being  correct in conformation. Therefore leading to serious conformation issues. Easty-Westy fronts, bad toplines, high in rear, bad rears, no prominent front chest, very long in leg, round eyes and to much of a cute head just to name a few of the issues. Just because those breeders claim to have imported lines, doesn't mean that their Dachshunds are a good example of the breed.  Please look at the pedigree there should be Champions in the imediate family that insures that at least they are close to the standard of conformation.  As it is with anything else, nothing in this world is perfect but we can strive to get close to perfection by selectivley breeding and eliminated specific trades.
